Continuing with singer songwriters from Japan, Yuu Sakai is an awesome addition to your music library. I became aware of him through the anime version of Nodame Cantabile, which his song まなざし☆デイドリーム was the opening for in the third series. Yuu's music and voice are funky and soulful and he beautifully intertwines a multitude of genres into all of his works. He is definitely one of the most original solo artists in Japan right now in my opinion and if you are a fan of old R&B, soul and jazz, check these out. These are his first two independent releases, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Enjoy!
